Citroën launches new web site

Citroën has debuted an all new web site for the Australian market, which provides a full multimedia experience....

yet is easy and quick to use with the depth of information demanded by Citroën customers.



On selecting www.citroen.com.au, the first feature that is notable about the new Citroën web site is its speed of loading, with no requirement as on some web sites, which are so lethargic in opening that they have to have a ‘skip’ button to avoid the data heavy graphics. Given Citroën’s wide customer base and therefore widely differing requirements from web sites, the home page offers the choice of a scrolling display panel screen or the use of conventional pull down menus from a screen top menu bar, allowing users to choose their method of web site interaction.



“The site is clean and its operation is offered with ease and clarity,” says Miles Williams, General Manager of Citroën Australia. “We wanted all age groups and all levels of internet experience to feel immediately at home on the site and neither confronted or underwhelmed by its operation. This has been achieved by the choice of drop down menus or scrolling display panels that are a form of virtual reality.”



Using either method of entry to the site, it is quickly apparent that there is a real depth of information, not just on the growing Citroën product range, but also the unique Citroën history, its advance technology, its environmental contributions and its world-beating motorsport programmes, as well as the latest Citroën news. All are illustrated with text, pictures and on-demand videos.
