RIP CURL AND CITROEN CELEBRATE WITH SPECIAL EDITION C4 CACTUS

New Citroën C4 Cactus Rip Curl Special Edition will be available from November. A unique and fun SUV, this special edition C4 Cactus introduces Grip Control for improved traction, along with new styling elements that emphasise its outdoor character.

Citroen will celebrate its newly-formed alliance with iconic Australian brand Rip Curl by launching 15 special edition C4 Cactus Rip Curl examples in Australia.

On sale from late November, the special edition C4 Cactus Rip Curl will preview as part of the 2016 GromSearch series for young surfers, which kicks-off at Sydney’s Maroubra Beach on September 24-25.

The C4 Cactus Rip Curl will feature ‘Rip Curl’ graphics on the front mudguards and C-pillars, Grip Control, Goodyear mud and snow tyres, silver bumper guards front and rear, white rearview mirror shells and white roof rails as standard equipment.

The combination of Grip Control and mud and snow tyres gives C4 Cactus greater capabilities on low-traction surfaces such as mud and snow, making it ideal for both the snow and surf scenes.

Inside, the limited edition cars feature Rip Curl-branded floor mats with orange stitching, orange seat belts and orange speaker surrounds.

All 15 C4 Cactus Rip Curl vehicles will be powered by PSA’s award-winning PureTech 1.2L, turbo-petrol engine and five-speed manual transmission.

The special edition will also feature premium paint as standard and will be available in a new Baltic Blue exterior color along with Noir Obsidien (black), Rouge Aden (Red), Olive Brown and Blanc Nacre (Pearl White) – all paired with black Airbumps.

National Marketing manager for Citroen Australia, Dimitri Andreatidis, said the C4 Cactus Rip Curl Edition brings together two great brands.

“Both Citroen and Rip Curl are renowned for their fun and lifestyle-orientated products. The partnership is an ideal fit for the two brands.

“The alliance also brings together these iconic Australian and French brands in a fun way, while the added tech gives the C4 Cactus greater abilities off the beaten track,” Andreatidis said.
