Impacted vehicles were imported and distributed in Australia by Sime Darby Motors and Ateco between 2009 and 2016, with recall work being carried out by current Citroën importer and distributor Citroën Australia and its dealers.

On the advice of Groupe PSA, Citroën Australia can confirm that none of the recalled vehicles are fitted with Alpha airbags.

Recalls will formally commence in the coming months, with active recalls listed below. Groupe PSA urges all customers who will receive a letter notifying them of the availability of replacement parts to contact its Australian Citroën distributor, Citroën Australia, as a matter of urgency to arrange a time for their airbag inflator to be replaced. All work will be carried out free of charge.

To check whether your vehicle is subject to the Takata Airbag Recall campaign, Citroën owners should visit our  Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) lookup tool here.

If your vehicle has previously had an airbag replaced following a frontal collision or for any other reason the airbag installed may be faulty and require replacement. If this is the case please contact your authorised Citroen dealer and make arrangements for the airbag to be checked free of charge.
